If you are in need of a ride, please phone the Foster County Transit Service at 652-3257, 652-5515 (cell) or out-of-town, 650-8744.
The van is available for medical appointments, errands, shopping work or just about anything you need to do. Our drivers will pick you up at your door and take you safely to where you need to go.
Local transportation is provided as follows: Monday - Friday: 8am-4pm
A ride to the senior center for a meal is $.50 one way. A ride anywhere else in town is $1.00 one way or per stop.
Out-of-town transportation is provided as follows: ~ First Wednesday & third Tuesday: Fargo trip - $15 ~ Second Wednesday and third Thursday: Rural Foster County trip into Carrington - $5 ~ Third Wednesday: Bismarck trip - $15 ~ Fourth Wednesday: Jamestown trip - $8
Please phone at least a day ahead of time to schedule a ride.
Please schedule out-of-town medical appointments between the hours of 10am and 2pm.

Jamestown Regional Airport Jamestown Regional Airport is a full service airport, offering a wide range of services for all aviation types. As the primary commercial airport serving Stutsman County, Jamestown Regional Airport accommodates the aviation needs of the scheduled airlines, air freight carriers, general aviation, corporate, air taxi and charter operators, as well as the military.
Hector International Airport - Fargo, ND In February 2008, Northwest Airlines operated eight daily flights to Minneapolis with Airbus A319/320, DC-9, EMB-175, CRJ900 and CRJ200 aircraft. United Express operated four daily flights to Chicago and three daily flights to Denver with the Canadair CRJ200 and CRJ700. Delta Connection operated one daily flight to Salt Lake City with the Canadair CRJ200 aircraft. Allegiant Air operates three-weekly flights to Las Vegas and two weekly flights to Phoenix/Mesa utilizing the 150-seat McDonnell Douglas MD-83.

Two federal highways pass through Carrington. U.S. 281 runs North and South through the area. U.S. 52 runs east and west co-signed with ND 200 and to U.S. 281 then runs northwest and southeast route. ND 200 runs east and west through the area. Highways that run through Carrington include U.S. 52, U.S. 281, ND 200, and Foster County CR 1605.
The Soo Line, Red River Valley and Western, and Burlington Northern railroads pass through Carrington.
