C. MARIE ANDERSON

C. Marie Anderson, age 93, died peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Solbakken Care Facility in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Marie was born September 9, 1918, on the family farm near McHenry, North Dakota to Charley and Rosa Pewe. She graduated from McHenry High School and married Manvil Anderson of Glenfield, North Dakota on September 10, 1939. They farmed in the Sutton area until their retirement in 1979 and moved to Jamestown shortly thereafter. She was a long time member of Mabel Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid, Sutton, ND. Marie enjoyed reading, gardening, bowling and golfing, but most enjoyed giving her time to her family. She was loved for her earthy wit, great listening skills and being a "favorite aunt."

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Manvil, children: Lyle Brent "Johnny" and Mary Carol, her parents, Charley and Rosa Pewe, brother Louie Pewe, sister Irene Johnson, and special little dog, Skippy. She is survived by daughters Renee Bevis (Richard Murahata) of Libertyville, IL, and Ruth Stousland (Mark) of Burnsville, MN; five grandchildren: Betsy Bevis, Bill Bevis, Lon Stousland, Mick Stousland, and Marie Stousland; one older brother, Edmund Pewe, Ashley, ND, sister-in-law Joan Anderson, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service and luncheon will be held at Sutton School in Sutton, North Dakota at 11 AM, Saturday, January 21, 2012.
