     The Junk-Fest ladies did an outstanding job again this year - even better than their previous years' successes! If you missed their Friday night "Tickled Pink" event and/or Saturday's main Junk-Fest activities, then you missed out on two of the main highlights of Carrington's year. The ladies who masterminded and produced this annual event should be wholeheartedly congratulated for their enthusiasm, hard work, organization, and overall super PR for the Carrington area.

     Vendors came from all over the state - and other states as well - to participate in our small town's popular event. According to Cassie Smith, Missy Hafner, and Lynette Caylor, the "Junkfest Ladies," there were over 100 vendors for the flea market aspect of this event. As for their own contributions, they completely filled the Junk-Fest building with their creations, both on Friday night for the "Tickled Pink" event, and on Saturday for the main event, as well.

 A large crowd arrived early and gathered outside the fairground entrance on Saturday as they waited for the 9 o'clock opening. When Missy Hafner came out to cut the opening ribbon, the rush was on! (Click on the banner above for more pictures.)
