Music:

 

     Frontier Village Amphitheatre - Located on a well-tended grassy slope area with a covered stage at its base. Hosts concerts, plays, church gatherings, community events and weddings. Seating capacity for up to 300, with lawn seating for another 400. Perfect for concerts, festivals, community events, corporate events and more. Equipped with  24 channel audio system and stage lighting. To reserve the amphitheater for a performance or wedding, contact Charlie at 252-7492.

 

Tribute to Peggy Lee

Reiland Fine Arts Center
A Tribute to Peggy Lee concert will be held at the Reiland Fine Arts Center, featuring Stacy Sullivan. Members of Peggy Lee's family plan to be in attendance.Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 seniors, $10 students, and $50 VIPs. Ticket sales will take place in various locations (TBA). The Wimbledon Midland Continental Depot Transportation Museum featuring Peggy Lee will have their grand opening on May 26 at 11:00am. The Jamestown Arts Center, located at 115 Second Street SW, Jamestown, is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.  There is no admission charge.

 

Jamestown Arts Center - Grand Reopening

     The Arts Center will reopen their doors after months of renovations. The exhibit "Capture the Coteau" will be on display.
     There will be an open house from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The newly renovated Arts Center and the gallery exhibit will be open for tours from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

Prairie Paws Rescue Meet-Greet
Every 2nd Saturday of Each Month
10-a.m.-2-p.m., At TCS, Jamestown

Prairie Paws Rescue has a "Pet Meet and Greet" the 2nd Saturday of every month at TSC - located at 1100 5th Ave SE.  Come join us.   Available for adoption are adult cats and kittens, small to large breed dogs and puppies. At these events we do NOT do on the spot adoptions, but take applications during the event for potential adopters and new homes.

Fireside Chats - Keith Norman

Fort Seward
Fort Seward will host Fireside Chats every Tuesday in September at 7pm. The chats this year will be a series featuring the Evolution of Springfield Rifles from 1795-1900. The speakers will be members of the Frontier 20th Infantry Army from Jamestown. Features will include a cannon demonstration, bolt action rifles and the calvary sword. Memorial Day Service

Knights of Columbus
The Jamestown Patriotic Council will sponsor a Memorial Day Service at the Knights of Columbus starting at 9:00 am. Heidi Heitkamep will give the Memorial Day Address. The Drum and Bugle Corps will play. A light lunch will be served at the All Vet's Club fullowing the program (at about 11:30). Rib Fest

Kite Festival

Meidinger Park
The annual kite festival will take place at Meidinger Park on June 9-10, 2012. Kite Fest has become a premier kiting event, attracting kite enthusiasts from across the country and Canada. The event is free and open to everyone. Events include fun contests for kids, kite making, demonstrations, door prizes and music.
