Autumn around Carrington - 2012

Autumn colors abound throughout Carrington right now, but the leaves are quickly falling.  It won't be long before our deciduous trees are bare and on their way to Winter's sleep.

Don't despair, though. Lots more color will be appearing as the days go by - colors of the man-made kind.  That's right!  A home decorating contest will brighten up the city throughout October and into November.  Some early birds are already putting out decorative pumpkins, scarecrows, corn stands, bales of hay, glowing ghosts, witches, bats... and all kinds of colorful Halloween and Autumn  scenes.

Around November 15th, the Carrington Chamber of Commerce will award prizes for the best decorations.  Carrington Cash will be give for first, second and third places.  If you have any questions about the contest, just call the Chamber office at 652-2524.

Announcement from the Chamber of Commerce...         Winners of the Fall Outdoor

Decorating Contest are: First Place:  Doug & Janice Harildstad 915 4th St N. | Second Place : Stephanie Volk 125 Main Street | Third Place : Fred & Verna Freeman 1450 3rd St N. Congrats!  And thank you to those who decorated!
